The only negative I hear in the market about the course is that it came from the BSA.
Some argue the BSA should offer the course for free as they are funded by the software publishers who make the mess in the first place:
Finally, it terms of the 2 year audit waiver - It is my understanding that this is for qualifying organizations and is not based on the training (http://www.itassetmanagement.net/2011...) - but that info was from 2011. I would say that if you went for ISO 19770 certification you'd also make yourself audit proof through your own maturity, but if BSA can guarantee it, it might be worth exploring.
I don't hear much about the course and don't see many individuals certified compared to, say, SAM Essentials / Practictioner (ISEB/BCS/ITILv3) or CSAM (IAITAM).
