I repeatedly hear issues when I speak to customers and mostly it is around how Asset Tracking has not been very efficient in their org. How users are not utilising their assets leased effectively with many users either retaining their 2nd/3rd assets, placed in cupboards and in the end , outside of customer's control, resulting in delayed return to leased company or assets deemed lost, incuding whatever s/w on it.
This is a very interesting point to me because if Org's invest money in AM tools or policies, such actions by end users or of course never going to be tracked by any tool and clearly is outside the scope of control. Say, compliance reporting is a good start. How do you handle a scenario like this? What are your expert views around devices not being returned or not being optimally used?
