I would suggest just compsing a shell script to obtain the the package details.
SUSE is the same as Redhat for RPM cmds. "rpm -qa " will locate and enumarate specific packages. If you are looking for something more comprehensive, you could grep that.
If you are looking for an application... I woudl maybe take a look at RayNet's ZTI tools. It'll do it in a comprehensive manner but it'll also cost you a license fee. If you want free just get a linux system admin to build you a script ;)
