Interesting question from one of our customer base - has anyone got a definitive answers or ideas? (And the description is not deliberately vague - it is this vague)
Large customer covering multiple business types and departments looking to use Bots to mimic basic people processes.
Customer places order, Bot becomes a purchaser - creates Invoice and emails customer receipt via outlook and files appropriately
User requests holiday, Bot becomes a HR person - adds to outlook calendar, emails appropriate people, adds to various report
(at no point is the Bot activated by a real person - it just goes and does stuff)
The Bots will not have an actual "job" they will be mimicking jobs from all over the business, picking and choosing what they do - and will be using Office 365 as they will need access to Word, Outlook and Excel (and the business has 100% User coverage on O365 under EA)
So are these Bots (sat on a Windows Server VM) real people?
Do they need an O365 license?
Back in Volume License land - did they need a license then if they entire office estate was covered by device already? (ok, i don't need to answer this one, but it does highlight the difference on the licensing changes)
(and then you get to the real... when does AI become life etc... but maybe on another forum)
